The varsity team traveled to Ft. Thomas this past week to compete in the Cake Classic at Highlands High School. They played a total of five matches winning three of them.

On Friday night they played Holy Cross. After winning the first set by a score of 18-25, they went on the lose the next to sets and lose the match two sets to one.

Saturday they would play four matches. They started out beating Conner two games to one, scores being 16-25, 25-17, 15-9.

Next would be district opponent Bishop Brossart. They would win the match in two close sets. The scores were 25-23, 25-23.

Next they would play Holy Cross again. Much like Friday night they were defeated. They would lose this one in just two sets though.

They would finish the Cake Classic in style beating the Simon Kenton Pioneers two sets to one. The scores for that match were 23-25, 25-21, 15-12.

With the win against Brossart that puts the Camels district record at 4-0 and all alone at first place. Brossart is sitting in second with a district record of 5-2.
