KHSAA Regional Results

Despite the nerves and fear of weather, our Lady Camels ran some of their best races last night in the KHSAA 3A Region 5 championships. Before the meet, we set our goals for specific performances. I am excited to share that in 12 of 18 events, we had 15 season best performances and some personal records; EVERY relay ran a season best time with smooth handoffs and strong starts. If we are going to hit our bests at any time, region would be it!  In a VERY competitive regional meet, our ladies placed 5th overall.

Highlights of the night included:

First place:

• 4×800 Meter Relay (Florimonte, Kavanaugh, Meiser, Kramer) SEASON BEST State Qualifier
• Brady Singleton – Long Jump School Record – State Qualifier

Second place:

• Kavanaugh- 800 meter run (SB) State Qualifier
• Weinberg- High Jump State Qualifier
• Connor Geiman – Shot Put – State Qualifier

Third Place

• Long Jump (Brady Singleton) State Qualifier
• Discus (Connor Geiman) State Qualifer
• Boys 4×400 Meter Relay – State Qualifer

Fourth place:

• 4×400 relay (Kavanaugh, Meiser, Florimonte, Kramer) (SB)
• Meiser- 800 meter run (SB)
• Kramer-400 Meter Dash
• Boys 4×800 Meter Relay – State Qualifer

Fifth place:

• Anderson- Pole Vault
• Vroegindewey- Discus (SB)

Sixth place:

• 4×200 relay – (S. Matlock, Kramer, Kavanaugh, Lacy) SB
• Robinson – Long Jump
• Florimonte – 1600
• Weinberg – Triple Jump
