Saturday’s meet was a bit cold and overcast for the Lady Camels, but that didn’t stop us from claiming the second place trophy.
Some highlights of the day included:
1st place finishes by Becca Cline in the 100 and 300 hurdles, Kayla Kavanaugh in the 800 meter run, Gracie Florimonte in the 1600 meter run, and Laney Weinberg in the triple jump. The 4×400 team of Rust, G. Kramer, Kavanaugh, and Cline placed 2nd, and Kayla Kavanaugh and Grace Kramer went 2-3 in the 400 meter dash. Sidney Reagor clenched two 3rd place finishes in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs.
We were just 14 points from first and had a few events where we weren’t running our full team. That is another great sign for the success awaiting our team in post-season!
