Scott Classic Recap

Posted On: May 8, 2015 Posted By: Toni McKee

Last night the Running Camels took on the Scott Classic at Scott High School. The Lady Camels claimed the 2nd place trophy and had some awesome performances in their last regular season meet. Leading off the night, 4×800 meter relay of Jennah Flairty, Sidney Reagor, Gracie Florimonte and Kayla Kavanaugh edged Simon Kenton’s highly ranked team and brought home the gold. Becca Cline was 1st in the 300 meter hurldes and 2nd in the 100 meter Hurdles, while Brooke Buckler sped through to a 3rd place finish in the 300 meter hurdles as well. The Girls 4×200 meter relay of Brooke Buckler, Emily Orth, Devan Carrigan, and Becca Cline reigned in 2nd place with a season best time and the Duo of Jennah Flairty and Gracie Florimonte went 2- 3 in the 1600 meter run. Overall it was a great night, and one point of emphasis is that we were the highest scoring team in our region! Great job Lady Camels!

In the boys meet, the Camels dropped their times really stepped it up this week. The boys 4×100 team of Alex Dowds, Gunner Froelicher, Kyle Edgley, and Dylan Rich placed 2nd, and Andrew Hyden claimed the 2nd place spot in the 300 meter hurldes even after rolling across the finish line. Andrew then followed up with second in the triple jump and Mark Chaplin placed second in the 3200 meter run. It was a great night of competition for all the Camels!

Be sure to come out next Saturday, May 16 when the Camels host the region here at Campbell County High School for the first time in 12 years.
