Homecoming Information

Homecoming Parade:

Thursday, September 13th , 6:30pm: Begins at Alexandria Fairgrounds and
ends at CCMS.

Homecoming Game and Crowning:

Friday, September 14th, 7:00 pm vs. Ryle: Recognition of
Homecoming court and crowning during halftime.

Homecoming Dance:

Friday September 21st , 7:00pm – 11:00pm.

Homecoming Dance Change Explanation:

Historically the Homecoming Dance has taken place the Saturday following the Homecoming game. This year that was not possible because the Band of Pride was given that date to host their annual marching band competition. When we were informed of this we immediately looked for the best options to hold our dance. After discussing this with students and trying to keep this event as normal as possible the decision was made to hold the dance on Saturday, September 8th. After this was scheduled we found out that we had inadvertently scheduled this on a date that was a national ACT testing date, there was a scheduled girls soccer game, our boys soccer team was playing in a tournament and our marching band was participating in a competition. After finding this out we began exploring the option of moving the dance to another date. After reviewing all school activity schedules, consulting with coaches and sponsors and having discussions with many students we have decided to move the dance from Saturday, September 8th to Friday, September 21st. We feel that moving this event is the right thing to do to help ensure that students have the opportunity to attend the dance. We hope that by getting this change out now everyone will be able to make adjustments to their schedules. Updated permission slips will be available in the concession area and tickets will go on sale September 10th.
