1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Total
Ryle 6 8 0 0 7 21
Camels 0 7 0 7 0 14

The camels came into tonight still looking for that first district win of the season after two tough road games in previous weeks.

Ryle put six points on the board in the first quarter after scoring a touchdown but failing to convert the two point conversion on a fake extra point play. Their defense would not allow the camels any points in the opening quarter.

In the second quarter the camels would take the lead for a short amount of time after scoring a touchdown and converting the extra point attempt. But Ryle wouldn’t let them hold the lead long as they scored another touchdown, and connected on the two point conversion. Ryle would take that seven point lead into halftime making the score 14-7.

In the fourth quarter the camels tied the game up on a thirty yard #23 Carson Plessinger touchdown pass to #4 Gabe Kremer. The offense was driving late in the fourth quarter, but ended up stalling around mid-field giving the ball back to Ryle who couldn’t put a game winning drive together either. That would send the game into overtime.

The camels would win the coin toss and choose to play defense in the opening possession of overtime. It didn’t take long for Ryle to punch it in, and also make the extra point, putting them up by seven.

In the camels opening overtime possession they struggled to get anything going, only collecting a few yards. They had no choice but to go for it on fourth down. It appeared that everyone wasn’t on the same page as a pass was thrown to the corner of the end zone where no camel receivers were. Therefore ending the game as Ryle won 21-14.

The camels take on Boone County in their last regular season district game at home next week. That game is at 7:00pm. Hope to see you there.
