A strong second half would allow the camels to cruise to a first round playoff victory tonight.
They would start their first possession of the game around midfield after #33 Joe Kremer intercepted a Pleasure Ridge Park pass. Avery Wood marched the camels down the field and would take the ball into the end zone on a short run midway through the first quarter.
In the second quarter both teams would get score two touchdowns. The first touchdown for the camels was a 1 yard touchdown run by Wood, and the second was a 3 yard touchdown pass from Wood to #33 Brandon Morris. That would make the halftime score Campbell County 21 PRP 14.
The second half was all campbell county as the defense shut down PRP not allowing them to get any points, while the offense would cushion their lead by 10 points after Wood would get another score on his third rushing touchdown of the game, and Stuart Knaley would make a 30 yard field goal.
The camels travel to Butler high school in Louisville next Friday for their second round playoff matchup. Stay tuned game time information.
