Coach’s Corner

The Camels gutted out a tough win versus NewCath last week at home.  This week the Camels (2-1) take on Cooper (2-1).campbellcountyfootballhelmet

The Cooper Jaguars opened the season with a disappointing loss to Ryle, but rebounded with impressive wins over NewCath and Boone County.  Cooper and Campbell County both appeared in NKYFan.com’s Top 10 this week (Campbell County #6, Cooper #10).

We spoke to Coach Lickert about last week’s game and what he is looking forward to this week.  When asked what impressed him most about the Camels vs. NewCath, Coach Lickert said, “We were able to overcome so many turnovers and mistakes to still win the game.”

The Camels are back to work this week preparing for Cooper.  What is the team focused on this week?  Coach Lickert confirmed, “We are working on eliminating turnovers and mental errors. We are also working to improve our passing game and sure up our assignments on defense.”

Coach Lickert on this week’s game said, “We are looking for it to be a very competitive game where the team that makes the least mistakes wins the game. We think we match up very well with Cooper. If we fix our mistakes, we should win the game.”

We agree!  Come support the Camels @ Cooper Friday night @ 7:30.

Go Camels
