Coaches Corner: Girls Hoops Preview

It is that time of year again and basketball is BACK!!!

The Lady Camels are ready to build on last year’s success.  Head Coach, Mike Murray, spoke to us recently about the team, his staff, and their goals.

Coach Murray said, “I love watching our players push themselves and their teammates daily to get better.  I love how competitive they are with each other, but then they all come together with a singular goal and do everything they can to reach it.”  The bar has been set pretty high — build on last season’s Regional Title game appearance and 22-11 record.

So, how will they do that?  Coach Murray says, “I believe in applying pressure with both our offense and defense.  We will play a fast paced style with lots of full court pressure and plenty of spacing on offense to give the players a chance to make plays.”

Coach Murray and his staff are pushing these Lady Camels to get even better every day.  Let’s meet the rest of the coaches:  Barrett Bradshaw (JV Coach/Varsity Assistant), Alicia Fields (Freshman Coach/Varsity Assistant), and Paige Bowling (Assistant Coach).

Coach Murray says of his team, “This team is composed of outstanding young women who are great students and ambassadors for the school and community.  They work extremely hard to put an enjoyable product on the floor and really need for our community to come out and support this team.”

These Lady Camels are definitely a team to watch this season.  Literally.  Come out and support them.  Cheer them to victory and back to the Regional Championship!

This team is Camel Proud.  Let’s show them how much we appreciate it!
