Since the Camel’s new stadium started being built in June of 2011, you can finally start to see the finished product. The field is finished, the scoreboard is alomst there, and the concession stands are built, the only thing left is to lay down the track. Why hasn’t this ben done you ask? Well, they must have at least three consecutive days of 50 degree weather and the vocational school being built next door is more of a priority for them. Nevertheless, it’s only a matter of time before it’s complete and able to be practiced and played on.
As an athlete who will play in this new stadium i’m anxious for it to be finished and I know i’m not the only one. Students, teachers, principles, coaches, fans, we’ve all been waiting for this to finish. Now able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, it’s never been more exciting to see something develope.
The first football game on the field will be in August 2013 and with that the Camels expect a huge turnout in fans. As of right now they play Newport as the home opener at the new field here at Campbell County High School.
Go Camels!
