The start of pep band was last Wednesday, November 28th. This means that the band will be at many of boys and girls home basketball games. On Wednesday, the band started practice at 6:30 and practiced till about 7:00. The band director was Mr. Bowling. Originally it was Mr. Little, but this year he thought that the band would have more fun at the game with the new director.
The purpose of the pep band is to, as stated in the name, to pep the team and crowd up. The band has several things that they do to “help” the team. There is spirit fingers, which is where the band wave their fingers when Camels are shooting free-throws. There is also one of their favorite things to do. It is called Boing, Boing, Pass. this starts in the fourth quarter. When the opponents have the ball, they shout Boing when they dribble, Pass when they pass and Shot when the opponents shoot.
Go Camels!
