Yesterday was a beautiful day to be a runner at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Christian Slone ran a 17:34 placing 83rd out of 246 athletes. While this did not quite hit his goal, he ran a strong race and a place that put him in the top 30% of AAA state runners. This is a great accomplishment for his first showing as a Camel at State.

In the girls race, Sidney Reagor got our strong and ran her best time of the season, running a 19:57 and placing 20th. This qualified her for the KTCCCA All-state team for the second year in a row and moved her up in the pecking order from last year’s finish. Allie Franzen ran a 21:38 and placed 99th out of 243 finishers, putting her in the top 40% of all AAA runners in the state meet. This is an excellent finish for her first state appearance.
