The weather held off for us as the Camels hit one of the most difficult courses in the state. We started our day with a great view of the Capitol building in Frankfort and some cooler temps. In a twist of schedules, the boys ran first this week and set the tone for the day. We knew going in that with a hilly course, we would be facing some challenging times, and the Camels responded with determination and hard work. Most runners completed the day within a minute of their PR’s, which was excellent given the tough hills. The Camel Pack struck again, with Bryan Howell leading the way in 6th place. Colton Conroy showed he’s back with a vengeance and claimed the Camels’ #2 position with an 8th place finish, followed closely by Shawn McGrath in 11th, and Alex Johnson in 17th. The Camels combined for a 1-4 split of 48 seconds. Tony Schwarberg rounded out the Camels with a 32nd place finish earning a medal, and insuring the Camels clinched a 3rd place finish in a competitive meet.

For the Lady Camels, the course had good footing and offered some great competition. Sidney Reagor attacked out of the gate and maintained her front runner status throughout the race to take the overall champion trophy. Paxton Glenn ,overcoming injury, placed 14th, followed by Vanessa Neiser, Allison Wendling, and Maddy Little rounding out the top 5 scores which led the Camels to a 3rd place finish as well.
