In region action this weekend, the Camels came hard out of the gate with some strong goals in mind. They knew going out that this would be their toughest race of the year and that they would have to hit their marks to make it to state. In Lady Camels action, Jennah fought through some illness and pulled in a 4th place finish overall. Not far behind freshman Sindey Reagor pulled in at 8th, ensuring both qualified for the state meet next week.
In the last race of the day, the boys also knew they had a tough race ahead of them in order to qualify for state. Mark Chaplin made some decisive moves throughout the race that put him in the top pack and reeled in an 8th place finish. Thomas Comer wasn’t far behind in 13th. Joey McGrath, Shawn McGrath and Jared Neiser packed it in with a 1-5 split of 1:08. Colton Conroy and Alex Johnson held off the other region runners to help the Camels clinch a team qualifying place at the state meet. Congratulations to all these Camels and best of luck at state!
