Lexington Catholic Invitational Recap

Posted On: October 20, 2014 Posted By: Toni McKee

The Camels competed this weekend at the Lexington Catholic Invitational at the Kentucky Horse.

The Lady Camels hit the trail hard and ran some of their best times on the year and set some course personal bests. Jennah Flairty flashed out the gates to lead the race early and finished 6th out of 199 runners with her best time of 19:08 on the Horse Park Course. Sydney Reagor was 34th, also with her course best. Paxton Glenn, Gracey Sizemore, Kara Pangburn and Anna Johnson all beat their previous times for the season and Junior Allison Wendling ran her best 5K time of her career. This sets the Lady Camels up for a great showing in post-season racing as they head into the NKAC later this week.

In the boys race, Mark Chaplin continues to lead the team with a 64th place finish out of 228 runners. Thomas Comer held onto the #2 Camel spot, followed closely by Jared Neiser as both pulled in course PR’s. Joey McGrath ran his best race of the season with Shawn McGrath close behind rounding out the Camels top 5. Colton Conroy, Anthony Schwarberg, and Alex Johnson all ran season bests as well.
