The running Camels were busy over fall break pounding out some great performances.
To start off the break, Jennah Flairty attacked the race in the Greater Louisville Classic against the best of the state. Her personal best time of 19:03 in the 3.1 mile race reeled in the 5th place spot in a race of 267 athletes. Mark Chaplin placed 59th, Thomas Comer placed 120th, and Jared Neiser 121st in a race of 275 runners.
In the St. Henry Invitational on Saturday, October 11, the Camels pushed through the close of Fall break with some great running weather. Jennah Flairty put any doubters to rest by busting out a first place finish in the 147 athlete race, beating rivals from St. Henry, Simon Kenton and Highlands. Sydney Reager placed 25th, putting her with the top runners in the region.
In the boys race, the running Camels improved on their 1-5 split, at 1:28 bringing together a tight pack. Mark Chaplin led the way for the Camels placing 13th, followed by Thomas Comer, 33rd, Jared Neiser 49th, Joey McGrath at 51 and Shawn McGrath rounded out the scoring top 5 at 66th.
Overall it was a great break for the Camels and they are showing times that poised for a great performance as we head into post-season action!
