Regional Recap…

Posted On: November 8, 2012 Posted By: Stuart Chowning

Our Camel Cross Country teams competed in the Regional Tournament last weekend.

“In Lady Camel action, Paige Langworthy, who ran the entire season recovering from a broken ankle, ran her last cross country race in a Camel uniform with courage and perseverance;  Alex Gregory, Makenzie Cave, Kara Pangburn and Anna Johnson all crushed their personal records for the year and ended with their best races.  Jennah Flairty blew the region rankings apart and came through the line with a solid 4th place finish, qualifying for the state meet this weekend.

The boys team really pulled it together for a great pack that does what’s needed at this time of year, they snuck up on some people and rolled out a 3rd place finish to qualify for the state meet this weekend. This was the highest finish for the Camels in at least 3 years as a team.   With our top 5 all within a minute of each other, the Camels pushed each other across the line in a tough and competitive race.  Kevin Lackey took the Camels top spot, followed closely by Mark Chaplin, Aaron Orth, Dylan Valdez, Peter Glenn, Jared Neiser, and Thomas Comer.

Congratulations to all of our running Camels and good luck at STATE this weekend!”
