Varsity Soccer Wins on Senior Night

Posted On: October 3, 2014 Posted By: Matt Ewald

Last night at CCHS the Boys Soccer Team recognized 13 seniors that have worked incredibly hard and given everything they have to the Campbell County Boys Soccer Program.  These seniors have played many games and spent numerous hours on the field preparing, and have done it all with class and a love for their school.  The following seniors were recognized last night:

Michael Dumaine, John Leopold, Brandon Cartwright, Hunter Brown, Clay Prather, Colton Gearhart, Andrew Phelps, James Wilbers, Kory Sterbling, Ian Specht, Oliver Rice, Mark Weber, and Matt Weber.

Congratulations on an amazing high school soccer career at Campbell County!

As for the game, the Camels faced Grant County and won in dominating fashion.  Coming off of a good draw against Ryle, where the Camels showed great possession and teamwork, the boys kept it going against Grant County.  Possession, passing and movement were the keys to last nights game and the Camels performed very well.  All players got involved in the game and contributed in the win.  Goals were netted by Rob Augspurger with 4, Oliver Rice with 1, and Colton Schneider with 1.  Assists were made by Michael Dumaine with 2, Oliver Rice with 1, and Grant Perkins with 1.  The boys have shown some definite promise and hard work in these last two games, and they will need everything they have against their US27 rivals, Bishop Brossart.  This will be the biggest game of the year so far for the boys, so we will need as much support as we can get.  Let’s GO CAMELS, beat the Mustangs!
