Congratulations to senior Matt Wilson who was named a Mr. Kentucky Basketball Candidate this week. Voting will be done by KHSAA basketball coaches and various members of the media, and a winner will be announced sometime around the Sweet 16 basketball tournament.

Other candidates include James Boone (Murray), Tyrik Edwards (Christian Co.), Stewart Currie (Davies Co.), Wade Coomer (Barren Co.), Mason Faulkner (Caverna), Quentin Goodin (Taylor Co.), Tyler Sharpe (Bullitt East), Alex Cook (Male), Carson Williams (Owen Co.), Ben Weyer (Newport Central Catholic), Darius Williams (Paul Laurence Dunbar), Isaiah Tisdale (Henry Clay), Trey Blevins (Wayne Co.), Caleb Taylor (South Laurel), Conner Haskins (Buckhorn), Hunter Swindall (Shelby Valley), and Jordan Perry (Morgan Co.).
