Apologies to Joel Day for failing to mention his 2 crucial free throws at the end of the JV 37th District championship game against Brossart this past Saturday in a recent post on Camel Pride. Late in the championship game, the Camels held a slim four point lead. After the Mustangs cut that lead to two, Joel was fouled on the ensuing inbounds play with 9 seconds remaining. Joel calmly walked to the line and drained both free throws restoring the Camels lead to four at 35-31. Those free throws turned out to be huge as the Mustangs hit a three point basket with 2 seconds remaining on their next possession. The Camels were able to run out the clock and hang on for the hardware. Great job Joel on coming through in the clutch, and again my apologies.
