On Friday evening the boys basketball team hosted Fleming County in a JV and Varsity contest.

In the JV game, the Camels had a balanced scoring attack with 8 players in the scoring column. Joel Day led the Camels with 9 points on a trio of three pointers. The Camels only led 23-17 at the half but dominated the 2nd half outscoring Fleming County 26-9 for the 49-26 victory.

In the varsity contest, Matt Wilson made his return to action after sitting out several weeks with a high ankle sprain. Matt finished the game with 15 points, but it was Deondre Jackson’s huge performance that led the Camels to a 72-58 win. Jackson drained 5 three pointers on his way to a 26 point night. Similar to the JV game, the Camels held a slim 33-28 lead at the half, but blew the game open in the 2nd half to cruise to the easy win. Blake Losey also hit double figures scoring 16 points for the Camels. The Camels improved to 17-7 for the season.
