The camels beat the #1 district seed Bishop Brossart Mustangs in tonight’s district final game at CCMS.
Much like their semifinal matchup against Scott, the camels gave up a lot of offensive points in the opening quarter, but would get in a rhythmn on both side of the ball in the second quarter. They would take a one point lead going into halftime as Deondre Jackson made a three as the clock expired.
The mustangs and camels would trade the lead throughout the third quarter. Going into the final quarter the camels had a one point lead, but would never allow Brossart to get any closer than that. They would hold Brossart to just 14 points in the final two quarters, and win by five points.
The all tournament team members were #14 Matt Wilson, #15 Deondre Jackson & tournament MVP #30 Corey Holbrook.
The 10th region tournament will begin next week. Tomorrow the seedings will be announced.
