Camels Finish Season

75 – Scott
65 – Campbell County

Campbell County entered the 37th District Tournament as the #3 seed with a 14-14 regular season record.  They faced the #2 seed Scott Eagles.  The game, and tournament, were hosted at Campbell County Middle School.

The Eagles started the game quickly jumping out to a 18-7 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.  They stretched the lead to 33-18 at halftime.  The Camels battled back in the second half.  The entire team rallied with Corey Holbrook, Nate McGovney, and DeAndre Jackson hitting late shots to pull the Camels within 5 points late in the fourth quarter.  The score was 64-59 with 1:54 left in the game.  Ultimately, Scott completed a series of foul shots to end the game 75-65.

As the season comes to a close, we pause to recognize the senior leadership of Steven Deutsch and Nate McGovney.  The Camel Community appreciates the blood, sweat, and tears these men have poured over the years.  Thanks!

Looking forward Coach Russell returns the majority of the players.  We look forward to seeing where this team goes next season.

Go Camels!!!
