Camels jump on Calvary Christian early and coasts to 18-2 win

Campbell County jumped out to an early lead on Calvary Christian and captured an 18-2 victory on Monday.
With 13 runs in the first three innings, The Camels Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A two-run single by Matt Reynolds, a groundout by Ethan Kremer, a passed ball, a single by Connor Walsh, a two-run single by Carson Plessinger, and a two-run single by Kremer during the second inning helped Campbell County put some runs on the board early.
Plessinger racked up five RBIs on four hits for Campbell County Camels Varsity.
Eighth grader, Brady Brooks‘s nine strikeouts on his first Varisty start. Brooks allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over five innings.
Landers couldn’t get it done on the bump for Calvary Christian, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked three and struck out none.
Campbell County quickly matched Calvary Christian’s scoring inning with a four-run inning of its own in the third. The Camels scored on an RBI double by Colton Hartig, a two-run single by Plessinger, and an RBI double by Jacob Besecker.
Campbell County added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Collin Teegarden‘s single got things going, scoring Austin Hoeh and Rob Augspurger. That was followed up by Plessinger’s triple, bringing home Brooks and Teegarden.
