Alex Franzen hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as Franzen struck out eight batters to carry the Camels to a 4-1 victory over Cooper in seven innings.

Turner couldn’t get it done on the mound for Cooper, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The game was never in doubt after the second, as Campbell County scored two runs on an error and a sacrifice fly by Joe Eblin.

Campbell County scored one run in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fifth. In the fourth, Campbell County scored on a sacrifice fly by Noah Brewer, plating Connor Walsh.

The lone run of the game for Cooper crossed the plate in the fourth inning.
