Campbell County Camels fell 9-8 to Scott in seven innings on Thursday at St. Mary’s despite racking up eight hits and eight runs.
Gabe Kremer racked up five RBIs on two hits for Campbell County Camels . He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Mann recorded the win for Scott even though he allowed six runs over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six, walked five and surrendered five hits.
Trame, Ohmer and Mann helped lead Scott. They combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
Johnny Eblin took the loss for Campbell County Camels . He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
The top of the first saw Scott take an early lead, 1-0.
After a quick strike from Scott, Campbell County Camels responded with three runs in the first. Campbell County Camels scored on a two-run single byRobert Metz and a groundout by Kevin Skinner.
The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Scott scored two runs on a groundout by Back and an RBI single by Trame.
Three runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Campbell County Camels close its deficit to 9-6. A three-run double by Kremer set off Campbell County Camels rally. Finally, Seay induced an inning-ending ground out from Carson Plessinger.
A two-run seventh inning helped bring Campbell County Camels within one. A two-run single by Kremer fueled Campbell County Camels ‘s comeback. Seay ended the game by getting Blake Losey to ground out.
