Tyler Walsh allowed just one run on Wednesday, but Camels couldn’t get the offense going in a 1-0 defeat to Harrison County as their mythical search for the Unicorn (twenty wins) and their first trip to the state tournament since 1989.
Jordan Martin recorded the win for Harrison County. He tossed seven innings of shutout ball. Martin struck out five, walked three and gave up five hits.
The first inning saw Harrison County score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Martin. Camels finish their season at 19-17. The future is bight for the Camels, as six of tonight’s starters return to the Camel’s roster next season.
Afterwards, Coach Schweitzer, in an emotion filled awards presentation to the team, reflected on each Senior and the value and foundation that his first graduating class meant to the program.
Rounding third and headed for home, we’ll see you all next season.
