Camels advance to the 10th region semi-finals in dramatic fashion on Memorial Day, when Paul Griffis raced home on an errant pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Tyler Walsh went 2-3 as Camels took home a 3-2 victory over Nicholas County in seven innings at Scott on Monday.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Nicholas County’s lineup had no answer for Andrew Perrin. Perrin gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

The top of the third saw Nicholas County take an early lead, 1-0. A single byAustin Allison, bringing home #19 started the inning off.

Camels answered Nicholas County’s top inning with one run of its own in the fourth. Camels scored on a groundout by Cameron Edwards.

Camels will face Bourbon County on Tuesday night, who were 7-1 winners over Mason County.  Gametime, 7:00 PM at Scott high School.
