Camels got the win thanks in large part to Rawe’s dominant, 13-strikeout performance. The Camels’ pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.
Camels were also sparked by Avery Wood and Paul Griffis, who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs. Griffis got a hit in each of his four at bats. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and sixth innings.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Camels scored two runs on a two-run single by Wood.
Camels added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. A for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Griffis’ single, plating Mitch Kramer.
Number two seed Scott eliminated three seed Brossart 5 – 2. Camels will host Scott on Tuesday at Tom Mohr field for the championship, game time 5:00PM.
