Avery Wood did all he could to give Camels a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Ryle, as Camels lost 6-1 in seven innings at Ryle on Monday.
It was a good day at the plate for Camels’ Wood. Wood went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.
Came Belew recorded the win for Ryle. He allowed one run over five innings. Belew struck out eight, walked four and gave up five hits.ron Edwards shut down Ryle while he was on the rubber. Edwards held Ryle hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Ryle never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring four runs on an RBI double by Plvan and a three-run home run by Forbes.
Ryle added two more runs in the bottom of the second. Lonnemann‘s single got things going, plating Ashley. That was followed up by Mason‘s single, scoring Lonnemann.
The lone run of the game for Camels crossed the plate in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Austin Richardson.
