Jeremy Perce hopes every outing could go as well as Friday, as Perce tossed a shutout to carry Camels to a 9-0 victory over Holmes at Tom Mohr Field in seven innings.
Camels’ Perce kept Holmes off the scoreboard for all 7 nnings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up eight.
Five runs in the first three innings helped Camels blow out Holmes. An RBI single by Tyler Walsh, an RBI single by Robert Metz, a passed ball, an error, and a walk by Paul Griffis during the first inning helped Camels put some runs on the board early.
Griffis reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI.
Camels brought home one run in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fourth, Camels scored on a wild pitch, scoring Griffis.
