Robert Metz went 2-3 at the plate, but Campbell County Camels Varsity fell 10-2 to Danville at Simon Kenton on Saturday.
Stamm recorded the win for Danville. He allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered five hits.
Danville was sparked by Rowland and Harris, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
Johnny Eblin was charged with the loss. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The top of the first saw Campbell County Camels Varsity take an early lead, 1-0.
Danville didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the second inning when it scored on two singles.
A one-run third inning helped bring Campbell County Camels Varsity within three. An RBI single by Robert fueled Campbell County Camels Varsity’s comeback. But, Stamm got Erik “Willy” Cox to ground out to end the inning.
