Girls Recap

The Lady Camels placed first in the Villa For Life meet this weekend. All proceeds from this meet benefit the American Cancer Society. We know that when it gets colder as the day goes on, it can be mentally challenging, but our Camels proved they can survive outside of the dessert and that cold, wind, or drizzle won’t slow us down. We saw some outstanding performances throughout the day despite the unfavorable conditions. We have spent months working diligently to prepare and build strength; yesterday showed the results of those efforts. While we have some fine-tuning to do, of course, we are right on track for where we need to be at this point.

Highlights from the Meet:
3200 meter relay (Reagor, Meiser, Florimonte, Kavanaugh) -1st
100 meter Hurdles- Becca Cline and Laney Weinberg pulled out a 1st-2nd tandem.

300 meter hurdles–Becca Cline pulled in another 1st place, followed by Brittany Rust in 2nd and Madeline Feiler in 6th.
800 meter Run- Triple threat of Grace Florimonte, Kayla Kavanaugh, and Sidney Reagor Swept the field going 1, 2, and 3!

In a cold and windy afternoon, Camels Track and Field ran two teams and ran well. The Camels finished 5th and the Camels “B” team placed 7th out of 18 teams.
