Conner Invitational Recap

At the Conner Invitational Saturday, the Camels competed well out of the gate for the first meet of the season.

The Lady Camels had a near sweep of the relays, taking 1st in 3 out of 4 relays. The 4×800 meter relay of Florimonte, Kavanaugh, Meiser, and Reagor started the day off for the Camels, followed by the 4×200 meter relay of Carrigan, B. Rust, E. Orth, and Lauer, the 4×400 meter relay of Carrigan, B. Rust, Kavanaugh, and Florimonte rounded out the 1st place relays. The 4×100 meter relay of E. Orth, Lauer, Roaden, and A. Rust placed 3rd and B-team 4×200 meter relay of Feiler, Lackey, Schumacher, and A. Rust pulled in a 4th place. Individual scorers were:

Kayla Kavanaugh 1st in the 800 meter run, Followed by Grace Meiser in 6th
Devan Carrigan 1st in the 400 meter dash,
Gracie Florimonte 2nd in the 1600 Meter run,
Sidney Reagor 2nd in the 3200 meter run, followed by Allie Franzen in 5th
Emily Orth 6th in the 200 meter dash,
Hannah Roaden 5th in Triple Jump, and 6th in Long Jump.
Overall the Lady Camels were 3rd of 10 teams, coming out strong for the first meet.

While the boys team’s score were not as high as hoped, it was a great day for our new athletes to get some experience. Highlights included:

Gunner Froelicher- 4th in the 100 and 200 meter dash
Christian Slone- 5th in the 1600
Parker Younse- 4th in the 400
Camden Lacy- 5th in high jump
Christian Cummins, Gunner Frorlicher, Nic Mayer, Donavan Strange- 6th in 4×200
Shawn McGrath, Parker Younse, Camden Lacy, Donovan Strange- 6th in 4×400
Shawn McGrath, Colton Conroy, Christian Slone, Parker Younse- 6th in 4×800
