May 15 – Campbell County Varsity defeats Bourbon County after late game single, 10-7

Campbell County and Bourbon County passed the lead back and forth five times on Monday, but in the end Campbell County pulled out a 10-7 win in seven innings over Bourbon County.
Teegarden reached base three times in the game for the Camels. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and seventh innings.
Connor Walsh had an impressive outing against Bourbon County’s lineup. Bourbon County managed just three hits off of Walsh, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his 4 1/3 innings of work.
S. Greenlee was charged with the loss. He walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
Campbell County closer Carson Plessinger put away the final three outs to record the save.
In the top of the first, Campbell County grabbed the early lead, 5-0. Colton Hartig doubled, scoring Teegarden after a single by Teegarden got things started. More runs came home for Campbell County when Hartig and Franzen scored on a two-run single by Walsh, Walsh scored on an RBI single by Dawson Hogan, and Plessinger scored on a groundout by Cooper Gray.
Campbell County got one-run rallies in the sixth inning and the seventh. In the sixth, Campbell County scored on an RBI double by Franzen, plating Hartig.
