CCYFL: IMPORTANT UPDATES FROM CCYFL – EQUIPMENT INFORMATION & MORE

HELLO CAMEL NATION!
PLEASE NOTE: The equipment pick up for July 1st (next Saturday) is cancelled. Unfortunately, we were informed that we cannot allow equipment pick up during the school dead period.
The equipment pick up for Starters, Midgets, and any other play who has not yet picked up equipment, will now be MONDAY, JULY 10TH FROM 5:30PM TO 7PM *OR* TUESDAY, JULY 11TH FROM 5:30PM TO 7PM.
Please make every effort to get your player’s equipment on one of these days. Equipment pick up is in the old McCormick vocational building. Park in the south CCMS lot and walk to the back of the building.
Players must have a helmet with chin strap and mouthpiece, padded pants/girdle with pants, shoulder pads, practice jersey, and cleats. For the boys – a cup is recommended, but not required. Let me know if you have any questions for equipment. We have used cleats in the equipment room as well.
In order to be completely registered and allowed to weigh-in and play at Jamboree players must have the following paperwork submitted the first two weeks of practice.
1. Signed NKYFL contract (will have at practice)
2. Current photo
3. Copy of birth certificate
4. Current sports physical
Team Moms will be collecting paperwork the first 2 weeks of practice.
Practices will start the week of July 17th at Crossroads Elementary School. Practices will be M, T, W, R from 6-8:00pm for the first 2 weeks. We will start acclimation into equipment the first day of practice. Acclimation includes 2 days with helmet only, 2 days with helmet and shoulder pad, then full pads – helmet, shoulder pads, padded pants. Players may not play full pads (scrimmage/game) until they are acclimated. We will work and provide extra time slots to ensure acclimation; however, it is important to be at every practice. After acclimation, we will drop to M, T, R for the season.
Jamboree will be the weekend of July 29/30. We do not know what day we will play. More information will follow.
Our schedule runs 08/12 through 10/08, with playoffs following. The schedule takes time to process, so please be patient. We will release it as soon as it is confirmed.
