JV and Varsity Get Wins Against Pendleton County

Posted On: September 22, 2014 Posted By: Matt Ewald

The JV and Varsity Camels traveled to Pendleton County on Saturday and both teams came away with wins.  The boys had some great weather and both teams turned in good performances.

The JV started off the night with a dominant 6-0 win.  While the score shows that the game was fairly one-sided, the boys could have played better.  Several goals were left on the field and there is still room for improvement.  Goals were scored by Adam Clark (3), Parker Younse (2), and Morgan Drake.  Players with assists included Morgan Drake (2), Zach Kuebbing, Colton Schneider, Nolan Padin, and Trey Schierenbeck.  The JV boys look to keep this season rolling on Tuesday against Covington Latin.  The game will be played at FOPA #1 (Covington), at 6:30.

The Varsity Camels also had a fairly easy time with Pendleton County, but this was far from their best game of the season.  While several goals were scored, the boys did not look as fluid as they have against other teams.  Team possession could have been better, team passing could have been better, and finishing could have definitely been better.  With all of this being true, the boys still left with a 7-0 victory.  Goals were scored by Rob Augspurger (3), Michael Dumaine (2), Mark Weber, and Colton Schneider.  Players with assists included Oliver Rice (2), Colton Gearhart (2), and Adam Clark.  The boys look to keep the winning going against Covington Latin on Tuesday.  Game time is 5:00pm and will be played at FOPA #1 (Covington).
