Ryle Relays

RYLE RELAYS

4/17/14

On Thursday Night, the both the Girls’ and Boys’ track teams competed in the annual Ryle Relays Meet. The Girls’ Team finished in 5th place and the Boys’ Team finished in 3rd place.  The top relay performances for the girls were:

  • The 4×100      Meter Relay of Kaitlyn Donoghue, Emily Orth, Courtney Hammock, and      Meredith Donoghue placed 6th with a time of 56.48
  • The 4×800      Meter relay of Kara Pangburn, Kelsey Riley, Natalie Fausz, and Allison      Wendling took home a 6th place finish by crossing the finish in      12:13.49
  • The 4×200      Meter Relay of Becca Cline, Emily Orth, Abby Vandergriff, and Kaitlyn      Donoghue finished 4th by finishing the event in 1:55.41
  • In the      Sprint Medley, Emily Orth, Becca Cline, Courtney Hammock, and Emily Steele      were 4th with a finishing time of 2:02.46
  • In the Distance      Medley, Natalie Fausz, Allison Wendling, Kelsey Riley, and Jennah Flairty      came in 4th by finishing in 14:28.28
  • In the      4×400 Meter Relay, Becca Cline, Jennah Flairty, Emily Steele, and Abby      Vandergriff crossed the finish line in 4:33.71 which was good enough for a      4th place finish
  • Kaylee      Johnson (28-00.00) and Gabby Elsbernd (26-06.00)placed 4th in      the Shot Put Relay
  • Olivia      Cassinelli (85-04) and Taylor Schuchter (81-10) took home 3rd      place in the Discus Relay
  • In the      Triple Jump Relay, Meredith Donoghue (28-08.00) and Alisha McGrath came in      5th place
  • In the      Long Jump Relay, Meredith Donoghue (14-06.50) and Kaitlyn Donoghue      (12-10.50) placed 6th

The top relay performances on the boys’ side were:

  • In the      4×1600 Meter Relay, Josh Haller, Kevin Lackey, Jared Neiser, Alex      Reinmueller placed 6th with a time of 21:50.66
  • The 4×100      Meter Relay of Gunnar Froelicher, Dustin Turner, Dylan Rich, and Devon      Strange earned a 2nd place finish by crossing the line in 46.15
  • The 4×800      Meter Relay of Joey Mcgrath, Marthen Kummer, Kevin Lackey, and mark      Chaplin finished in 4th place with a time of 8:51.63
  • In the      4×200 Meter Relay, Dylan Rich, Kyle Edgley, Gunnar Froelicher, and Dustin      Turner finished in 5th with a time of 1:39.16
  • Kyle      Edgley, Andrew Hyden, Matt Mayer, and Ben See earned a 4th      place finish bt crossing the finish line in 1:15.49
  • The Sprint      Medley team of Gunnar Froelicher, Dustin Turner, Dylan Rich, and Devon      Strange finished in a time of 1:41.35 which was good enough for 3rd      place
  • The      Distance Medley team of Kevin Lackey, Shawn McGrath, Joey McGrath, and      Mark Chaplin finished 5th with a time of 11:42.85
  • Kyle      Edgley, Parker Younse, Marthen Kummer, and Devon Strange came in 4th      in the 4×400 Meter Relay with a time of 3:47.73
  • In the      High Jump Relay, Matt Mayer (5-06.00) and Eric Dean (5-04.00) finished in      3rd place
  • Doug Carson      (39-04.25) and Derek Groneck (37-06.00) earned a 2nd place      finish in the Shot Put Relay
  • Doug      Carson (100-05) and Derek Groneck (96-00) placed 5th in the      Discus Relay
  • Parker      Younse (34-02.00) and Caleb Lacy (33-01.00) finished in 6th in      the Triple Jump Relay
  • In the      Long Jump Relay, Matt Mayer (17-08.00) and Eric Dean (16-10.50) placed 5th

The Camels’ track teams compete next at the NKAC (Conference Meet) Track and Field Relays, hosted by Scott High School, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
