The athletes got their first taste of the state course this weekend. We set the goal before the athletes to work on the 2nd mile particularly to try and close the gap in their mile splits. They responded well!
In the girls race, Sidney led the Camels with an 11th place finish, and it was PR city for Sarah Reynolds and Samantha Schultz! The girls finished 11th of 21 teams, in a race of over 200 athletes.
In the boys race, Christian Slone was 26th and Bryan Howell was 45th. Colton Conroy met his goal time and Luis Riera, Anthony Ronnebaum, and Daniel Chamberlain all broke personal records. The boys were 12 of 23 teams and had a 1-5 split of 2:37, a little higher than what we have been. We will get that lower again as our training kicks in this week!
