A huge shout out to the Camels Cross Country teams for their performances in the Campbell County Championship Meet yesterday at AJ Jolly park.

In Lady Camels action, Jennah Flairty pounded the course and the competition, clinching first place by over one minute and five seconds, as well as running a personal best time of 19:12 for the 5 K race. Working hard to close the gap was Freshman Sydney Reagor, taking the fourth place position and running her best time at the longer distance. Paxton Glenn was 9th and Gracey Sizemore was 13th as they attacked the course with season best times and Anna Johnson ran a season best hot on their heels. Pushing close was Allison Wendling who also ran her best time in two years and Kara Pangburn with a season best. It was an outstanding day for this Camel pack as they came away with second place and proving they have what it takes to be one of the best in Northern Kentucky.

In the boys race, Mark Chaplin took an early lead to try and make it a Campbell County double for the day. Running his high school PR in a Camels uniform with a 16:34, he placed 2nd in the meet with an outstanding race. Jared Neiser and Thomas Comer came in tandem at 11 and 12 running their best times, with Joey McGrath and Colton Conroy rounding out the top 5 pack. Anthony Schwarberg, Alex Johnson, and James Erwin all also ran best times for the Camels and helped the Camels run into the 3rd place spot.

In the combined results, the Camels overall were 3rd, placing them among the best in Campbell County High Schools.
